This wine was created with the goal of honoring the most awarded player in polo: Carlos Gracida. The wine carries on his legacy by coupling the most prestigious sport in the world with an age-old tradition of celebration through wine enthusiasm.

  • Gracida: The Polo Legacy

Carlos Gracida won polo's major tournaments in Britain, Argentina, and the United States. He provided lessons to the British royal family and many celebrities. During a polo match in 2014, Carlos died after falling from a horse. Carlos' sons Mariano and Carlos Jr. continue the family legacy playing polo around the world today.

Winemaker Notes

Our vineyards are planted in clay and calcareous soils in a continental climate. We harvested the Tempranillo in the third week of September and the Cabernet Sauvignon the following week. Fermentation lasted 10 day at a temperature of 68-77ºF and 15 days of post-fermentative maceration. The Gran Reserva wine spent at least 24 months in American and French oak barrels prior to bottling and almost the the same time in bottle prior to being released.
